lived alone basically even while married and just got out of the habit of cooking before i ever got good at anything other than hamburger helper and opening a can of vegis. my favorite things to cook are things i still want to eat after having "slaved" over them. so many times, i put in the effort only to decide later it didnt taste worth all the trouble i had gone thru. the heavy casseroles that come out for holidays and reunions none throwing a little of every spice i had into a dish thinking it would be flavorful and good
