I'm a kindergarten teacher. My favorite food is something someone cooks for me, although I'm a decent cook. Actually I'm the best cook in the family - unfortunately that wasn't hard to achieve ((grins)). I love to cook simple appitizers and desserts. Anything with chocolate is wonderful. Simple is good too. I also like to make things in my crock pot. I am the family appitizers and Dessert Maker, especially for the Christmas holidays. I have a favorite cookbook - All the Best by Pampered Chef. Very decadent and very delicious. My family can't wait to see what I make each year. Fortunately they get their fill, I tend to make too much. My Holiday Bark is my specialty. I adapted the recipe from the pampered chef All the Best book. I make dark, milk and white chocolate batches. It's beautiful and delicious. ok, it's a little expensive too.((grins)) My first lasagna: I was 19 and babysitting at my sisters - I invited my parents over for dinner. The lasagna fell and flipped over in the oven as I was taking it out. Tragedy! On a few occasions I looked up recipies on the internet according to the meat I had to cook. There were a few that we took a few bites of and then threw away. I love the rating system on Allrecipes as well as user comments. Now I don't worry that what I make will be unedible.
