I like to save money by not buying pre-packaged convenience foods. I almost never buy anything if it's not on sale. I love simple recipes. Italian food, slow-cooked meats, bread (though I am a beginner at bread). My family loves to entertain, and so do I. I love to cook for a crowd, though we don't do it nearly enough due to peoples' busy schedules. I am pretty good at whipping stuff up off-the-cuff. I love to do this when we are tempted to go out to eat...then as we're enjoying a healthier yummy homemade meal I think, "Wow, we just saved $30!" I have made some pretty brick-ish bread in my day.
