About this Cook
I'm 23 years old. I just got married on December 12th. I'm not so good at cooking just yet, but I am learning and I want to learn a lot more so that I'm able to cook for my husband. I need to build more confidence...I'm constantly anxious that what I fix is not going to come out right. Hopefully this website will help me learn more about cooking and build my confidence more.
My favorite things to cook
Wow...I don't know honestly. Still learning. I like to make things that aren't things you make everyday. It keeps it fun. I get bored easily!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love the traditional holiday meals...Turkey and dressing for Thanksgiving and Ham for Christmas. Also, my grandma makes the BEST Macaroni and Cheese I've ever had! Hopefully I'll be able to do that one day.
My cooking triumphs
On New Years, I made stuffed fried olives and a special kind of Sangria w/ strawberries, lime, lemon, simple mint syrup (sugar, water, and mint leaves), OJ, and champagne. It all turned out great.
My cooking tragedies
I have actually messed up mashed potatoes. Seriously.

Modenese Pork Chops
It was great. I did have to add more wine (about 1 cup) and cook the pork chops longer (at least 45 minutes if not an hour), but besides that, everything was perfect! Thanks!

Slow Cooker Barbequed Pork for Sandwiches
This was absolutely great and so easy to make. I would recommend it to anyone. Also, my husband and I split the recipe and made enough for just 6 people and we still had so much left even after four people ate 2 helpings each!
