I am a former U.S. Marine and currently the Operations Manager for a construction company. In my spare time I love to exercise, play guitar and cook. I like trying different things, but if I had to choose favorites, I suppose steaks on the grill would be at the top of the list. I don't really have any family traditions established yet. As a kid my mother did all the cooking and we did all the eating. I think the most amazing dish I ever prepared was a salmon, portabllo mushroom phyllo dough roll. Wow, a lot to choose from for this category. The worst dish by far was my first leg of lamb stuffed with goats cheese and spinach with pine nuts. I first had difficulty butterflying the leg of lamb. Then I couldn't pound it to a consitant thickness, no matter what technique I used. Then I managed to over stuff it and under cook it. Bad, bad, bad, all the way around. I did try this recipe again, however, and it came out better the second time.
