Well, I'm from north Alabama. I grew up watching my grandmother, mom and aunts cook huge meals just about every day. And of course everything had at least a 1/2 a stick of butter added to it. Fortunately I've been able to convince them that it's really not necessary. (smile)
Over the past few years I've ventured out into the cooking world myself. I have to admit that I'm not half as bad as I once thought I was. I'm still learning new things every day about cooking and I'm grateful for that.
My favorite things to cook
A few of my favorite things to cook are Lasagna, Meatloaf, Spaghetti sauce, Pastas, Soups and Dips
My cooking tragedies
I can still remember the day that I tried to master Fried Green Tomatoes. What a disaster! I sliced them too thick, forgot to batter them and season as well. It goes without saying that NO one dare tried to eat them.
