About this Cook
I moved out of my parent's house 4 years, and have lived with my long-time boyfriend for 3 years. I love to cook for people, and I'm excited to try new recipes and love a good challenge cooking wise. I love cooking for groups. It doesn't matter the size I just love to make homemade food for people to enjoy. People are usually over at my house twice I week and I'll try different recipes. I just brought a Kitchen Aid mixer and it's the greatest thing ever!!
My favorite things to cook
Soups, and anything that I can bake! Anything new.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom use to bake homemade bread every week, and although I work full-time I try to do the same. My dad is a great believer in garlic and puts it in nearly everything, so I use the a lot as well.
My cooking triumphs
My Kitchen Aid mixer! Although I'm proud of all the things I make, my greatest triumph is seeing the happy reactions from the people I love that are eating my food.
My cooking tragedies
Homemade Mac and Cheese. When I make it that cheese sauce gets grainy, and it's super annoying! I wish I had more time to cook as well, but someone has to pay the bills.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken
I would give this a five, but I didn't have bread crumbs, and don't like to rate things a 5 when I didn't use the true recipe. That said I LOVED this recipe. We do have leftovers but completely on purpose. My only compliant abotu this is it was swimming in grease, but the chicken didn't taste greasy at all. I will ABSOLUTELY make this again. Thank you thank you thank you!!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff
I owuld have given this a five but I changed the original recipe a little bit. I followed another reviewers advice and added a 1/4 cup of white wine. I served this with whole wheat noodles. A friend said he would have rated it 4.5 stars and long-time boyfriend said he would like this again for dinner.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I
This was an ok stew. I usually make stew with V8 so I felt it was lacking a little bit, but my husband loved it with the beef broth. The meat wasn't quite as tender as I thought it would be. My favorite part was that you didn't have to fry the beef in oil before putting in. Not greasy at all. Served it with store-brought biscuit.
