I'm a 31 year old accountant who never even boiled water until I got married 2 years ago, & now I really like to cook and bake! I'm always looking for and trying new recipes. It helps that my husband will eat pretty much anything that I put in front of him. Mexican food, anything that can be done in a crock pot or on the grill, soups, desserts (particularly those involving cream cheese). I always sat and watched my mom cook, even before I was ever interested in doing it myself. Now I find it ironic that alot of my food tastes like hers. I also enjoy cooking Mexican food with my brother. My first family holiday party - 17 people and I cooked it all myself. I've had many a baking tragedy - a boston cream disaster, some seriously under baked banana bread. I've had some recipe scaling issues too, which resulted in a minestrone that only tasted like thyme.
