Today was warm.  Not as warm as yesterday, but it was a day that we could be at the park with our friends.  By the way warm here right now is 50+ degrees F.  Ok so we met our friends at the park which is great and only slightly muddy.  How is it possible that I come home… MORE

About this Cook
I am a happy mom with a great husband and an energetic funny 3 year old.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. I have recently been discovering a whole new world of foods for main meals that even my toddler will eat. sometimes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have had to reinvent most of our family traditions to be healthier and easier. Both of my parents are gone, and the health issues raised by family histories has led us to try new ways of cooking and new foods.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking Thanksgiving for my family including my siblings and their families and having my sister in law say that I made it look easy.
My cooking tragedies
I conveniently banish the bad stuff from my mind. This may be an issue for a good therapist?

Grilled Onion Potatoes
Easy and great tasting. I used homemade italian dressing and have gone to experiment with roasting other veggies this way too. Never would have thought this would be so good!

Playgroup Granola Bars
I and my whole extended family really likes these bars. I of course used mini chips instead of raisins, (I always do) and found it was important to cut while warm. Mine were done after only about 23 minutes so check often. Thanks for the recipe and the cute title, my three year old likes them a lot!~
