I made this into one of those "rainbow" cakes for my husband's birthday, it was the perfect size for the two of us and he loved the "cornbread" texture. He said he doesn't like really airy/fluffy cakes, so this one was perfect for us!

This is the only thing I have made from this site that didn't turn out delicious. I have made banana bread many times, but was looking to see if anything different was out there. I guess its my own fault for not tweaking this recipe with cinnamon and nutmeg, but why it didn't already include those, I don't know. Anyway, that didn't explain why it came out so dry, even though I followed the recipe and actually baked it for less time than the recipe called for. I put some butter and cinnamon/sugar on a slice and its much better. I guess I'll stick to my regular recipe.
