I like to try new things. My family always says "oh no" when I try a new recipe on them. Then they are surpised when it turns out they like it.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make easy but fancy looking desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I get the most enjoyment out of family gatherings. We usually do everybody bring a dish so no one person has to work hard. We do the same thing for barbeques. It is a tradition for us at Thanksgiving to go around the prayer circle and say at least one thing we are grateful for.
My cooking triumphs
My mother started teaching me to cook when I was around eight years old.She is still teaching me to stretch the groceries.I was so proud of myself the first time I cooked a moist turkey for Thanksgiving without my mother's help.
My cooking tragedies
I cooked a roast for my inlaws one time; it was so hard and dry the dog would'nt even eat it.It was so embarassing!
