I'm an eighteen year old New Zealander who loves to cook and bake sweet things for my family.
And sushi.
I also apparently do tempura very well.

My favorite things to cook
All the things I do well, namely cookies, cakes, ice creams and sorbets.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Chicheron: crispy pork skin that my family sometimes goes out of their way to procure and to make. And my dad's macaroni cheese, even though I still need to learn how to do it properly.
My cooking triumphs
Making dairy free ice cream and thinking my way around how to make stuff wheat/gluten and dairy free. (I have a lot of friends who are one or the other.) Making things vegetarian (or vegan) is also fun, though a bit more challenging.
My cooking tragedies
My very first batch of chocolate chip cookies, where they almost over-flowed the baking tray. Also, my first attempt at cheese sauce, which became rather plasticky in the end.
