About this Cook
I'm a newlywed and my new husband and I enjoy trying new recipes so we can expand our frequent meals (I heard most people eat like 10 meals regularly...what?! We want variety!!), but I've never really cooked before. I prefer to bake, but I'm broadening my horizons!!
My favorite things to cook
Any kind of dessert, things using a crock pot, anything new. I especially enjoy finding recipes to duplicate our favorite restaurant-made meals. Anything to save money, plus it's fun!! :]

Churros
I took these to a family get together and didn't leave with a single one!! Everyone loved them. I didn't have pastry bags, so just had to roll out the dough and toss it into the pan - they didn't look like churros, but they tasted like them!! My only problem with the recipe was my husband covered them before they'd cooled completely so we had to put them in the oven at the get together to get them back to their crispy state. It worked wonderfully though!!

Chex(R) Muddy Buddies(R)
This is an awesome (and totally addictive) treat for parties or get togethers. It's easy and people love it. I haven't made any changes to this recipe because I've always loved it the way it is.

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake
I made this for a family Christmas party and it was a huge hit!! We didn't take anything home!! I used 2 cups of oreos, as suggested by other reviewers, so I cut my sugar down from 3 to 1 tablespoons. I also put extra crushed oreos on the top of the cheesecake around the outside edge and drizzled it with raspberry sauce. Then I put a fresh raspberry on each slice, which ended up being nice because this dessert is so rich. While it was good, it wasn't the best cheesecake ever for the effort we put into it.
