About this Cook
I love cooking I have been passionate about it as far back as I can remember. My family has always been into cooking so that is where it stemmed from. When I was a kid I even remember joining a summer project for cooking for kids through the local newspaper. Each week there was a new recipe to complete and submit that we completed it. tThen at the end of the summer we got a certificate and a cookbook.
My favorite things to cook
What don't I like to cook should be the question and I guess that would be baking cakes, breads, and the like.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We left most of our family behined in upstate NY where I was born when I was 3 so not much.I do remember though that my grandparents loved to cook and so did my mom.
My cooking triumphs
Only thing I can think of is when a co-worker was on vacation at the restaurant I worked in.They had me cut up and fillet fish for the week and I got pretty good at it.To me cutting a precise amount to the T was exciting.
My cooking tragedies
This may sound silly to some of you but I am a perfectionist when it comes to cooking so when it's not I feel a failure. My boss at my current job hired to to shop and cook dinner for herself, husband, and friends for Valentines day.She was going to have a roasted beef tenderloin but she switched it to grilled ribeyes. So I cooked them all to order but came up short when I didn't cook the well done steaks to well done they came out medium but they still ate them.
