I'm in my mid twenties, I work full time at a grocery store, and get all sorts of ideas for cooking from my customers. I just moved in with the love of my life and we both really enjoy culinary experimentation. Neither one of us was ever used to eating actual meals before we moved in together, so our experience is somewhat lacking. We both have some favorite family recipes and are learning great new ones from allrecipes.com!
My favorite things to cook
Shrimp, shrimp pasta, shrimp soup, fish fillets, my own special shepards/cottage pie (a huge favorite in this house), and chicken, and last but not least: different mexican/southwest dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Shepard's pie. no contest. and when I post the recipe you will all agree that it's fabulous.
My cooking triumphs
Shepard's pie, shrimp pasta alfredo, my mahi-mahi fillet
My cooking tragedies
adobo chicken (filipino dish)- that was a disaster I will never repeat. Let's just say that dirt flavored chicken isn't my idea of gourmet dinning. I don't know where I went wrong, but that is an avenue I will never again venture down...
