I'm in my mid 20's and I started to discover my passion for food (eating and cooking alike) earlier in this decade of my life when I started attending the university. Since then, it had grown very rapidly that at this point I get satisfaction just from cooking and seeing people enjoy the food that I cooked. If only I was this passionate about studying.
My favorite things to cook
Dessert and Asian style (especially traditional Malay food)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Rojak Petis - Salad like dish with sliced tofu puff, tempeh, pineapple, cucumber, sweet turnip, beansprouts and water spinach tossed with ground peanuts and shrimp based paste. Yum~!
My cooking triumphs
Each time I pleased people with my cooking
My cooking tragedies
I was looking for a very quick dinner. Since I felt like eating pizza and was too lazy to make it myself, I bought a prepared frozen pizza in a box. The instruction said to put it in the oven for 10-12 mins and when I took it out, my mozarella pearls had turned into a big piece of tar-black topping covering the biscuit-like pizza base. I have to admit, the burnt pizza had a nice 'crunch' to it.
