Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
The recipe itself was super easy to follow. I did however add quite a few seasonings. Garlic powder, onion powder, some ground red pepper, more pepper and two times mix of cornstarch and water. I thought that it was a little bland so I jazzed it up a bit! Good recipe though!

Peppermint Meringues

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
These were tasty! The only thing i didn't understand was why they were somewhat hollow inside. It was as if they kinda deflated and I followed the directions to a tee. But will mess around with different toppings next time for a unique taste!. Good recipe.

Salmon with Brown Sugar Glaze

Very tasty! The only thing I did differently was add honey mustard and spicy brown. It came out excellent! Definitely will use on other fish too!

'King Of Rock' Frozen Pudding Pops

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
These tasted great- although I followed the exact recipe, when the pops were frozen, the peanut butter separated to the top and to the bottom. I kinda enjoyed it though. I was like the old fashioned creamsickles with the cream on the bottom!! Very tasty!

Pumpkin Cookies VI

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
These are really good but very odd at the same time! I added a cup of pumpkin instead of half. And white chocolate chips that melted wonderfully. Also added more cinnamon, pumpkin spice, and nutmeg. They came out very good!! The texture was one that I have never experienced for a cookie before!! Awesome!! I can't figure out how to submit a new review, so I'll add it to this one! I've made these cookies 3 times now and had to double the recipe. First with the white chocolate chips; delish, then with the raisins; great, and finally the most recent I diced up some fresh apples from my grandmothers apple tree. Sounds weird at first, but they melded wonderfully and had superb flavor!! Thanks again!

Ropa Vieja in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
Excellent recipe!! The only thing I added was 2 tablespoons of crushed red pepper to add a bit of spice. My family loves their spicy foods!! Served with some home made refried beans and spanish rice in tortilla shells. Great!!

Cousin Cosmo's Greek Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
I thought the taste of this was excellent! Although I made a few changes. I ended up rolling the chicken breasts into pin wheels and baking for 35 min with a tad of the broth. I simmered the spinach and tomatoes with the rest and added some garlic and onion powder and more pepper to the sauce. Also added corn starch to result in a creamier sauce, and served over some white rice with fresh lemon juice. My brother HATES feta, but loved this dish. Thanks!!

Pumpkin Fudge

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2009
The form and color of this was very nice. It has an excellent flavor. Although I would definitely use less sugar next time. It doesn't seem like it HAS to have that much sugar in it. It made it kind of crunchy with the granules and all. But over all- very nice!

Perfect Apple Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
This was my first time making an apple pie from scratch and it turned out incredible!! I used fresh apples from my grandmothers tree and the flavor and sweetness was superb!! Although the crust was a little hard to maneuver. Other than that- 5 STARS!!

I enjoyed this recipe quite a bit and so did my family. I did add some crushed red pepper for a little bite! And when shopping I forgot the ricotta - but used a low fat mild cheddar and it turned out great!!

This recipe is EXCELLENT!! I used olive oil instead of vegetable just for my preference. But it is sooo easy and my fresh garden tomatoes added a beautiful and crisp flavor. Thank you!

Thank you for this recipe! It was super easy and had excellent flavor with few ingredients. The only altercation I did was adding more olive oil. I served with a fresh spinach salad and a round loaf of french bread. Very good!

Fresh Tomato Zucchini Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
The base of the soup is a good idea. Definitely add zucchini in the end. I added pink beans along with a can of garbanzo beans for more substance. Also added a lot more garlic. I think this recipe called for way too much tarragon however. A little tweaking made it better.

Exquisite Yeastless Focaccia

I thought it was pretty good! Although I added some chopped roasted red peppers to the dough and parmesan cheese for more flavor. Then on the top added more parmesan and some oregano. Came out super tasty!! But way too much cayenne pepper.

Kitchen Sink Meatloaf

Greatly enjoyed the cheddar cheese flavor and the subtle taste of the bbq sauce. However, texture came out kind of mushy even though thoroughly cooked. But over all, great!
