I'm an old fashion southern girl at heart - you can take the girl out of the south, but you can't take the drawl out of the girl! There's nothing better than a big ol' pig-pickin party and a big mason jar full of southern sweet tea in the middle of summer! (I sure miss that here in Nevada!) Holiday dinners, chicken & dumplings, and meatloaf. A big traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings! I won a cooking contest once for best dessert. The main rule was it had to be purple, so I decided on a bundt cake with a chocolate glaze. I used frosting dye on the cake so it was a brilliant purple, but hidden by the glaze. I decorated it by filling the hole with black berries and raspberries - got first place! Lets just say I've burned my share!
