Excellent! I actually used spare ribs with the bones 'cause that's what I had on hand & they marinated in my fridge for like 3 days (I was sick & forgot all about them!). Put them under the broiler for about 5-6 minutes per side, & they turned out AWESOME! I, too, skipped the MSG altogether. I didn't add carrots or the yellow onion as I didn't have any but I don't think they were missed. Thank you for this recipe! A definite keeper!

This is the first time I've ever modified a recipe. Based on others' reviews, I upped the PB to 1 cup, but otherwise kept it the same, & it came out yummy! I was a little scared as I can't ever seem to get PB cookies right! I may use a little less baking soda next time too, but this is definitely a keeper! Thank you!

These were super yummy & oh so easy to make! So I'm giving it a 5. However, & this is just ignorance on my part since I don't really make a lot of desserts - I made them before we left the house to go out to dinner, thinking we could nibble on them when we get back. They're weren't quite the same after sitting for a few hours. At least we got to taste the donut holes before dinner! Next time, I will make these knowing we're gonna eat them right away, or cut the recipe down since there's just 2 of us.

This turned out awesome! - just made it last night. I had both yogurt & sour cream & I meant to use the recipe "as is", since that's how I rate. It wasn't until I removed the tortillas from the fridge & saw the yogurt unopened was when I realized I didn't use yogurt! In any event, sour cream was just fine. I also used fresh dill since I had it on hand & didn't want it to go to waste. I'll have to mkae this again & use yogurt. I made it in addition to the Pico De Gallo from this site & it was perfect! Thank you!!!

Great recipe, thank you! Made this last night to go with our chicken wings. Like others, I only used 1/2 cup of sugar. What a nice change to store bought sauce. It's a pretty small batch when it's done, so I had to make another. Next time I'll know to double or triple the recipe.

I've made this twice now & both times turned out delicious. However, the 2nd time, after I finely chopped the ham & added the veggies, bread crumbs & eggs, I used a hand blender to give it that final "paste-like" texture before dredging & frying. It came out way better like this, I think. I chose to omit the cheese this time as well-just because we didn't feel like it & it still turned out great. Thanks for the great recipe!

This came out awesome! I will take one member's advice & cut the water & broth in half. I think I would rather have it just a little thicker next time. Although it was perfect as is. No lime/bay leaf is fine.

I made these for the 3rd time this weekend for the MIL (since I've told her how yummy these were & she was in town). She LOVED them! We like stuff lemony so I added a drop of lemon juice as well as lemon extract to the batter & I didn't bother to measure out out how much grated peel I added. It once again, came out perfect! The first 2 times, I had extra batter & used the rest as a cake but this time, since I only have one cupcake pan, decided to wait, & make 24 cupcakes. It was well worth it. Thank you for such a great recipe!! I also used the Lemon Icing recipe off this site (also added lemon extract to that-just a drop). Perfect!
