Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
Ok, one caveat before I start. I only now noticed that I was supposed to add water...the 3 breasts I used were covered with the soup so I'm not sure I understand... The chicken is delish but the biscuit dough has been in the crockpot for at least 90 mins, and it looks like its liquifying or becoming mushy. They are not retaining the round ball shape we made them in. Maybe that is how its meant to be? I don't know cos I've never made dumplings before. Maybe I used the wrong biscuit dough - Grands? We only rolled up about half the tin cos in pieces it seemed like a lot. So, in a nutshell, hubby and I like it but we're still waiting for the dumplings to cook through and we're not sure how exactly we'll know..:-) In the meantime we ate the chicken on the left over biscuits that we baked. :-)
