About this Cook
Three children two graduated college live on their own. One left at home 17. Trying to perfect a hobby. Since I have cooked while raising a family for the past 30 years, I'd like to learn new methods of preparation and I am always up to try something new.
My favorite things to cook
Most anything. Baking is my weakness.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Elaborate Sunday dinners ranging from traditional Sauce (spaghetti and meatballs) to roasts, seafood, fried chicken...comfort foods.
My cooking triumphs
2008 Labor Day Feast. I prepared a feast for 40 family and friends that included eggplant parm, fried turkey, macaroni and cheese, various salads, and grilled food, peach cobbler and chocolate cake. Almost everything turned out well with great reviews.
My cooking tragedies
More than one botched Thanksgiving Dinner, undercooked, overcooked, tasteless, bad turkey.

Honey Cornbread
Have been searching for a cornbread recipe for years, this is it. My cornbread before I found this recipe was less the mediocre now it's of the best.

Next Best Thing to Lulu's Pina Colada
Also did a version with brandy in place of rum, and a non alcohol version with a banana. Very good
