About this Cook
38 yr. old Massage Therapist with a 4 yr, old and a husband. My favorite thing to do is cook as well as try new things. Unfortunately I don't get to indulge that as often as I would like to.
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE LOVE LOVE to make homemade pizza, and then anything I am cooking for the first time is always fun for me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When my mother would cook, there was ALWAYS a house full of uncles, cousins, aunts, and any family that happen to be in the area at the time, so just food and togetherness have always gone hand in hand for me and now I love to entertain with my friends at the island counter and me at the stove. Good Times!!!
My cooking triumphs
I haven't actually had my greatest triumph yet because I am afraid to try it, but I have everything I need to make that great (perfect, if you will)cheesecake. I'm not the greatest baker, so i've been a little nervous about it and yeah it's been a few years coming but things like this take time, its my favorite dessert, and if I mess it up I think I will be devastated, so be patient with me.
My cooking tragedies
As much as I love cooking, baking is not my forte. There have been 2 instances that I have made the cream cheese pound cake like my mother used to, but for as many times as I have tried it, well. . . its really just sad. I am a firm believer in homemade (NO BOX CAKES HERE) so it is a little important that I can at least get the cake thing right a few more than 2 times.

Cheeseburger Soup I
This is a great recipe!! I really liked it because I didn't have to add my regular seasoning to it. It was simple, and the kicker. . . don't forget to add the sour cream at the end because it goes in a whole nother direction. Awesome!! Thanks for sharing!!

Artichoke Chicken
Everyone loved this, and I did as well, but I would like some suggestions on a mayo to use, because the one I used was ok, but I wasn't fond of it.

Broccoli Cheese Soup V
OMGosh!!! Melissa this is the best thing this year!!! I am not a fan of cheese soups, and this did it for me. First try, followed the recipe, and it was great!!! Ok I did add diced potatoes, to give me the baked potatoe feel, but your recipe was excellent!! THANKS!!!
