My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. I really enjoy using my bread machine to start breads and then baking them in the oven. I also love making cookies, fudge, cakes and brownies. I even started a dessert website that now contains over 1000 dessert recipes: www.bestsweetrecipes.com
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family has a tradition that every Sunday we have homemade pancakes for breakfast and then i make a large pot of sauce with meatballs to cook all day to have for dinner that evening with homemade italian bread. The kids make sure to always be home for dinner on Sundays and know that there is always enough for them to invite friends.
My cooking triumphs
One fourth of July I made a tiered fruit platter that my guests were actually taking pictures of. Everyone thought it had to be store bought and were amazed that I made it myself.
My cooking tragedies
There have been times that i try new recipes when bringing dessert to peoples house and end up with something horrible and end up making a stop at the bakery because i had to throw out what i had made.

Special Deviled Eggs
These were very good, but I think next time I will cut out the pickle relish and add a little more mustard for a smoother texture.

Cream Cheese Penguins
These turned out great! Not to hard to make and was very impressive to my guests! One neighbor wanted to take on to work to show all her friends! Thanks so much for the recipe.

Vanilla Glaze
Absolutely perfect and so easy! I used this icing for my daughter's birthday cupcakes with a little blue food coloring and they turnned out great. I will definitely be using this icing often!
