I've been cooking since I was 10 years old. Even though I do not have as much time as I used to (who does?) I still love it and I cook as often as I can.
My favorite things to cook
I always say to my husband, "I can cook anything as long as it's fried!" I can actually cook almost any way, but it seems that people love my country cooking best!
My favorite family cooking traditions
These probably center around camping. I love camp-side cooking. We camp once a year and we usually have the same things each year; BBQ chicken, potatoes in foil packets with green peppers and onions and, of course, roasted marshmallows. I also have a "big sandwich" that I usually make for lunch while camping.
My cooking triumphs
A cheese souffle that I cooked in High School Home Economics, I do not get that brave anymore! It was so pretty.
My cooking tragedies
Believe it or not, a mix that I bought for Lava Cake! I followed the recipe on the back exactly and took them out when the middle was not set but the edges were. It just tasted like raw chocolate dough in the middle.
