About this Cook
I'm married, and I have one daughter. I started cooking once I got married (never had to before) and found out I LOVE it. In my free time I do weight lifting 5 days a week with my husband.
My favorite things to cook
Dessert is definately number one, but second to that is chicken dishes. There are SO many different ways to prepare chicken! And third to that are vegetables. I HATED veggies until about 6 months ago..now I LOVE them, I can't get enough...they are so great once you know how to cook them!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family doesn't really have any...none of them are too into or great at cooking. So I get ALL of my recipes from this site and this is basically where I have learned how to cook.
My cooking triumphs
Pizza. I make pizza from scratch, starting with hand kneading dough (I don't have a processor) to making my own sauce from fresh tomato's. It taste amazing no matter what ingredients I use...it just takes forever
My cooking tragedies
Lets not go there : )

Flank Steak Pinwheels
I followed exactly as written and it was amazing..definately restaurant quality! Make sure you pound it thin enough..I didnt so It could have been better but that was my fault. This steak..was just bursting with flavor!! Also, dont skip the bread crumb it really added nice flavor and texture

Pumpkin Cookies V
These were something different but great! I halved the recipe and added 1/8 tsp nutmeg. I also cooked longer (15min) and they came out perfect. Also, like another reviewer suggested I used 1/2c applesauce in place of 1/2 c of shortening My house smelled amazing while these were cooking!
