I am the mother of 4 wonderful children. I am also a nurse and a wife. I really enjoy cooking...we try not to eat out much, it gets expensive. My brother's are naturals at cooking...I have learned by trial and many errors. My parents are really great cooks. My passion is baking. I love to try new cake recipes. I have even tried my hand at decorating and have even sold a few. But I guess finding new recipes that I know my kids will like is really my favorite thing to do. My husband will eat just about anything. Thanksgiving is a really big deal in our family. Last year was the first time it was at my house...no pressure there. Sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole and of course my mother's dressing...I can't wait for the holidays this year. A triumph to me is anything that I cook and my kids like or I don't ruin. I try to find things that are simple and not very time consuming. Just getting everyone to the table to eat is TRIUMPH enough. Well I was trying to make my famous peanut butter cake and forgot to put in the eggs!!! It didn't taste bad...it was just really flat...like a cookie. So my kids ate it and I stayed up and made another. I can't really recall any other things...but I am still learning.
