About this Cook
I am a 27 year old mother of 2 baby girls. I was born in raised in San Diego, CA. I have been cooking since I was 19 years old. I basically had to teach myself because well I lived on my own and no one else was gonna do it for me. :) I work in the medical insurance field and have big dreams of becoming a counsler for substance abuse. Its just hard finding the time ;)
My favorite things to cook
Pasta is my favorite thing to make. There is so much you can do with it. I also love making marinades for steak and chicken. I am also a pro at making home-made soup.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I wouldn't say I have any. Me and my grandmother(may she rest in peace) were the only decent cooks in the family.
My cooking triumphs
My pastas and my soups are my best. However I am told that my lasangna, steak and lemon chicken are to die for ;)
My cooking tragedies
Be creative and taste it along the way so you can change it and make it perfect

Triple-Cheese Macaroni
Came out too soupy. I even let it sit for 15 minutes and it still was soupy. Plus the mustard wasn't a good addition. Next time will leave the mustard out and find a way to thicken it :(

Chicken Alfredo with Fettuccini Noodles
This was really good. A bit too cheesy and rich so I omitted half the ricotta. I used shrimp instead of chicken. Will make again :)
