I'm a 27 yr old mother of 3 boys with a little girl in the oven. I have one GREAT!!! eater and 2 EXTREMELY picky eaters. My oldest has decided that if I so much as cook it, he's not even trying it anymore. What has this world come to?! That being said, I'm always on the prowl for recipes my kids will indugle. The healthier the better. I can't even begin to start on this topic. I'm a moody cooker, so my favorite things to cook change monthly, weekly and sometimes daily. Right now, I'm enjoying Turkey Chili, but I'm sure your reading this after that phase has long passed ; ) I never really had a Mother that put much effort into cooking. I ate a LOT of Macaroni and Cheese, Meatloaf & Pork Chops growing up, so I don't really have any family recipes that would knock anyone's socks off. My Mother did however begin cooking after I was grown. One recipe I still enjoy which she shared is the first on the cooking Triumph List. Spiced Herbed Whole Baby Chicken w/ White Wine Reduction Gravy (rub placed between skin and meat). Turkey Chili Red/Yellow Vegetable Curry (Asian Curry, not Indian) My first attepmt at Stir Fry. I was a new Mom and 17 years old. Cooking simply terrified me. And the more sheepish you are going into the kitchen, the more disastrous a meal will come from your attempt, I've learned. The veggies were soggy, the sauce was store bought and the whole dish turned out to be more like something that was put in the Asian Buffet Pan 10 hours before consumption. There've been many many culinary disasters. Sadly, too many to list : )
