I love to take recipes and make them healthier yet still great tasting. By healthier, I don't mean "low fat" or "low calories". Instead I like to convert good recipes to healthier versions by using healthier oils, whole grains, natural sweeteners and things like that. I do have weaknesses, though, and one is spelled B-U-T-T-E-R! Even though it is looked at as unhealthy, it is natural and much better for you than hydrogenated fats.

Healthy Banana Cookies
Wow! These are great! You would never know they had no sugar. My kids devoured them for breakfast. I followed recipe exactly. Next time I might experiment and try adding peanut butter instead of oil since I like the flavor of PB with bananas.

Serbian Ground Beef, Veggie, and Potato Bake
Great recipe and a nice change of pace. I forgot to cover while cooking and the potatoes dried out a little, so don't forget to cover it! When I noticed my mistake, I added a little butter on top of the potatoes and covered it with foil for the remainder of the time. This added a nice flavor, so I might do it again next time even with covering it. UPDATE: When eating this for leftovers, we crumbled Parmesan&Roasted Garlic Potato Chips (Cape Cod brand) into the mix and it was GREAT! Probably can't be considered "Serbian" any more, but it tasted wonderful!

Raspberry Venison Skillet
My kids LOVED this recipe, even my 2yo. I cooked it a little longer than the recipe called for to reduce the marinade and juices to a nice thick sauce. I imagine the taste can vary depending on the raspberry vinegarette that you use. I gave it 4 instead of 5 because it wasn't my husband's favorite.
