Married 20 years, mother to 3 beautiful children, ages 14, 9, and 3. I love to cook and I love to cook for my family as well as other people. I have always wanted to have a restaurant with good southern food. Good southern food consisting of homemade macaroni and cheese, cabbage, black eyed peas, rutabagas, chicken livers, soups and casseroles are just a few of the things I like to cook. Everyone in my family loves my chicken and dumplings, meatloaf, apple dumplings, chili, and especially my homemade soup. I left my chicken and dumplings cooking on med on the stove one Sunday afternoon while taking a nap and they burned and all my hard work was down the drain. I will never do that again! We used to live in some apartments about 10 years ago and my family loves collard greens. I was cooking them on the weekend one time and had a neighbor come to my door wanting to know if we could smell an awful stench in the air (take in mind it was nice weather so the windows and patio door was open). The neighbor mentioned he had been trying to take a nap all day but the smell was killing him. I told him no even though I knew it was those wonderful collard greens I had been cooking all day and because he was one of those bothersome neighbors I just cranked it up and cooked it more and more for more stench (ha, I knew that was mean but I thought it was so funny) Definitely can't forget that!
