Chicken Pot Pie IX
I have never made this recipe as it is written but after making the following changes it was PERFECT!!! Like others I baked the bottom pie crust, brushed with egg white prior to adding the chicken mixture and used chicken broth instead of water to boil the chicken and veggies. To simplify things and reduce prep time I used 2 cups frozen mixed veggies in place of the chopped carrots & green peas. I also added garlic and used curry instead of the celery seed which I believe made all the difference in the world for this recipe! This is is now by far my husband's favorite dish...and he never use to like pot pie!
