About this Cook
I'm a clinical dietitian, working in large county hospital in Minneapolis, in the burn unit and the neuro/surgical ICU. I have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. Son is a Civil Engineer, 2 daughters - one is an Interior Designer and one is in her last year in Vet school. My husband is also a civil engineer. We're getting close to retirement and are trying to figure out where we want to live after retiring.
My favorite things to cook
Soups, "comfort foods", healthy foods with lots of veges, fruits. Love to bake everything from bread to desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Not many - I like to make new things all the time.
My cooking triumphs
Holiday meals - I like to cook for big groups.
My cooking tragedies
I can usually figure out a way to save my failures so I'm still able to serve it.

Sour Cream Rhubarb Pie
This pie was beautiful out of the oven and tasted great. Next time I'm going to increase the rhubarb to 4 cups - I think it would be even better.

Streusel Coffee Cake
Nice and moist, delicious streusel. I would make this again. I followed the recipe exactly and it came out just beautifully.
