Sweet Grilled Peaches

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2009
These were good. I sliced mine in half, removed the pit, sprayed each with a little olive oil. I mixed the honey and cinnamon together in a bowl with a little brown sugar. I dipped each peach 1/2 in the mixture and layed them "meat" side down on the gril. Beautiful grill marks and carmelization from the brown sugar. We served ours with ice creama and whipped cream. Very good!

Cavatelli and Broccoli

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2009
This was very good. I only gave it 4 stars because I did have to make several adjustments. Many of the other reviewers made similar comments. I used a good bit of salt (1/8 to 1/4 C.)in the water when boiling the pasta. I also added several cloves of garlic to the water for flavor. After boiling the pasta I saved about 2 cups of the water and used that to cook the broccoli. I quickly shocked the broccoli in ice water to keep it bright green. Put my drained broccoli and pasta into the pot together and added the cheese, oil and red pepper flakes. I did not add any additional salt. It was delicious!

BBQ Chuck Roast

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
This is a great recipe. I was craving roast but it's Summer so I didn't want to fix something heavy. This was the purfect answer! I did overcook it a bit. Cooked it to 160 degrees and meant to only take it to 145 as I like my beef rare and DH likes his medium - with resting time I think 145 would have been perfect. My fault but still declicious. Due to size of roast there were still some pink spots. Next time I'll watch the temp. a bit closer. Great Summer roast recipe! Thank you Ahmad!

Red Broccoli Salad

This salad was delicious. Next time I will add the bacon just before serving. It did get a little soggy. But other than that we loved it! Thank you!

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
These were easy & delicious! My husband is a basic meat & potato man. These were just different enough that I enjoyed them and so did he! I did up the amount of honey to 1 T. And added additional salt. Also finished them under the broiler for about 5 to 10 min. Turning every few min. To just carmelize the honey! Yummmmmmo!

Chinese Chicken Salad II

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2009
My Mom makes a salad very similar. I was craving it and couldn't get a hold of her to get the dressing recipe. Found this and it is so similar. Absolutely delicious! I made a few changes to mimic my Mother's recipe. Used Napa Cabbage and added sliced red peppers, mandarin oranges, bamboo shoots, sliced English cucumbers, omitted almonds and added toasted sesame seeds. Dressing was spot on! I did add a bit of apple juice to dressing because I didn't have apple cider vinegar and wanted that kick but absolutely perfect!!!! Yummmm! The whole family loved this!

Roasted Vegetable Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2009
This is so good! I did a half/half lasagna. My husband's half had meat on it and mine had veggies only. I only use Annarinos sauce and Barilla lasagna noodles! You'll love this one!

Succulent Pork Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
This was really good. I make the same think with pork roasts - either sauerkraut or pulled pork. So this was a nice change. The whole family enjoyed it. I did substitute a can of pitted sweet dark cherries for the maraschino cherries (didn't have those on hand). The dark reds lent a very deep flavor to the roast. I did salt my roast lightly before hand. Will make again.

Mahogany Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
Ohhh sooooo good! This recipe is fun and forgiving. I didn't have molasses either but used maple syrup instead. Added a couple drops of hot sauce too. I cut chicken breasts into strips and marinated them in this for 3-4 hours. Baked them off in the oven and served with rice and steamed snowpeas. You must try this recipe!

Pat's Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2009
These are fantastic dumplings. Traditional and old fashioned - not at all like the puffy bisquick dumplings. I made these substituting the salt for garlic salt. I did need to increase the water to about 3/4 cup. Rolled out just fine and cut nicely. Yummy!

Mini Ham And Cheese Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
I have been making these sandwiches for years - we call them "tailgate" sandwiches! Everyone asks for them. A few changes - I use brown mustard, a little butter, fresh minced onion, teaspoon of worcestershire sauce and poppy seeds for the sauce. We wrap them in foil and load them up in a low heat grill, a roaster or in the oven and let cook until the cheese is hot and bubbly. They are perfect for parties!

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
I really like this recipe. Like others I do a few things differently. I like equal parts vinegar and soy sauce and I also add a few bay leaves. I addition I cook mine in the pressure cooker and it is so tender and delicious!
