About this Cook
I am a wife and college student, we have a very busy schedule at our house which involves school, work, house work, and our beloved pets. We have two cats and a growing puppy who is enough to keep us on our toes for now, at least.
My favorite things to cook
I love italian food, I could eat italian food probably every day. My husband enjoys Asian food, so occassionally I experiment with that, and we both love to make and eat Mexican food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
At Thanksgiving, my mom makes the turkey, and I'm usually the one that makes everything else, while she supervises me. The side dishes usually include mashed potatoes, salad, sweet potato cassserole, steamed corn and sometimes other veggies as well. I also usually make the stuffing, though it doesn't actually go in the turkey.
My cooking triumphs
I can make a really good (or at least I have been told that) turkey lasagna. I try to make cooking healthier for myself and my husband, and replacing ground beef with ground turkey in most of my italian recipes were a hit.
My cooking tragedies
I tried to make meatloaf once a little while back. I love meatloaf, and my mother-in-law gave me a recipe, but of course I had to tweak it a little, and I added some things, and even though it was eaten, I was not proud of it.
