About this Cook
I am a 41 year old student at Syracuse University. I love school after being away for soo long. I have a boyfriend that is the best man in the world. I am the youngest girl out of seven children. I love my cat. I love life and look forwad to making alot of your recipes.
My favorite things to cook
PIZZA!!! It's our friday tradition. I also love to make sushi(for my Doug, I don't like it) as well as chili and I have a great recipe for black beans and rice with chicken.
My favorite family cooking traditions
At Easter we have some great things to cook, a cheese cake like dessert called Cassatta, and a noodle custard called Pustid. An a giant egg pie called Pizza Gain. It has a black pepper crust and all kinds of yummy things like ham, cheese and salami. It is all made in a giant steel pie plate that is about 70 years old.
My cooking tragedies
I burned my hand when I was younger frying hamburgers.

Flavorful Beef Brisket
This was my first time making a beef brisket. I don't use a slowcooker, so I used a dutch oven and WOW. I melted in your mouth. I used a cajun rub for the outside and it rocks!

Favorite Banana Blueberry Quick Bread
This recipe is really delicious. I didn't have pacans so I used almonds and cashews, as well as added vanilla (it makes the world go round). To finish is sprinkled the top before baking with sugar. It gives it a bakery feel. Yum!
