Cake Mixes from Scratch and Variations
I hate to do this. This cake was dense which I have read is normal for a cake made from scratch. The taste was a combination of cornbread and shortcake. It wasn't fluffy and it didn't rise hardly at all. It wasn't terrible to eat but I added custard and strawberries to the middle since the cake was so bland.

Pastry Cream
This was good, it tastes like smooth tapioca. I used this in the middle of a white cake with strawberries.

Emily's Famous Apple Pie
This pie was super tasty, easy to make. When adding sugar keep in mind if your apples are sweet, mine were not and more sugar would have made it better. I also added a couple tablespoons of butter to the the apples and stired the ingredients in rather than pooring them on top.
