I am of scandinavian, german and italian ancestry. I love to cook/bake from these areas, plus other eastern europian areas. I have been cooking/baking for over 40+ years. I learned alot from my grandma, my inlaws, cooking courses, and friends/family. I relax when I'm cooking/baking. I really enjoy it. I bake 12 different varieties of cookies for Christmas annually, giving alot as gifts.
My favorite things to cook
Pasta, chicken, Gravy (Italian sauce with meats) swedish meatballs, beef&pork dishes. I love to bake yeast breads (Finnish coffecake, Potetca, etc) cookies, bars, and of course my cheesecake.

Holidays, birthdays & special occasions, tons of different foods and desserts
My cooking triumphs
making my Grandma Finnish coffecake, her Swedish meatballs, Hungarian SweetBread, and my late husbands Grandma's recipes (all of the favorites!!)
My cooking tragedies
pizza where I live now. I used to make Fantastic Pizza's when I lived elsewhere and had a wall oven, they always came out perfect there, here they just don't come out right.
