About this Cook
I got married May 12, 2007 and have been cooking ever since. Really I started cooking under the watchful eye of my mom and grandma. I have loved to bake for as long as I can remember and have many cake pictures from when I was younger, or pictures of me baking them at my grandmas.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake: anything with chocolate, muffins, cakes, crisps, pies, brownies, cookies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom loves to make appetizers and has handed down this love to me! I love trying out new apps as well as the tried and true ones. Sometimes I like to do app dinners, which is always fun!
My cooking triumphs
When I was about 13 during a summer day I dipped balloons in chocolate to make bowls, imagine my moms surprise when she got home to find her fridge full of chocolate balloons!
My cooking tragedies
Oh yeah there have been some of these. Just the other day I went to make challah bread but I'm so used to recipes calling for a packet of yeast, I used the whole thing, shouldn't of, and ended up with a brick! Oh well, I will try again!

Brown Sugar Chocolate Crackle Cookies
I made these for a neighbor who lost his father (plus more for my sister and mom, and my house) and they all got rave reviews. I did use pecans since I didn't have walnuts and added white chocolate chips. They were great and will be made again!

Birthday Bones
I made these today for my 70lb lab mix. She loves them! I ran out of her normal treats and couldn't get to the pet store to buy her more, well I don't think I'll ever buy her treats now that I know how easy they are to make, and with stuff I always have on hand! Thanks for the wonderful recipe (and thanks from Nellie), I will make these many more times!

Pumpkin Pancakes
We made these tonight and the were wonderful. I love pumpkin and these were so good. I upped the cinamon and added nutmeg. I also added some chopped pecans to mine. The syrup was good but got very stringy and thick, I am not sure what happened but it was still very good!
