About this Cook
I've always been interested in cooking, but have started cooking daily now that I'm married ^_^. I used to watch the food network (when I had good cable) and I also like to try new things.
My favorite things to cook
Some of the dishes we make often include pastas and grilled meats. I also enjoy to make cookies and desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My parents are southern folks (hill billy) So we make alot of whole hearty american food. Traditional favorites would be baked beans, chicken and dumplings and sausage with sour crout.
My cooking triumphs
I ended up using my freshly carved halloween pumpkin and turned it into 3 yummy pumpkin pies ^_^. I have just started to pick up Sushi making, the art is amazing. I have a lot to learn, but the first time we served it our guests were very surprised it tasted and looked good ^_^.
My cooking tragedies
My biggest tragedy happened when I decided to be the cake baker for a friends birthday party. I cooked a box cake in a pan, only it got stuck when i tried to flip it. I ended up breaking it and scooping the cake out of the pan...and piled it ontop of the cake. From there I decided it was ruined and decided to make a themed cake mountain. I decorated it very cheasily and was the laugh of the party. Though the cake was still very delicious.

Grilled Salmon Kyoto
This recipe was very good. I live in Alaska and am always trying to find new ways to cook all the salmon we catch during the summer. I found that next time I would cook it on a slightly lower temperature on my grill just cuz it burned the skin of the salmon. Also, maybe next time I will place foil down first because the salmon stuck to the grate. I saw someones comment that it was fishy...salmon often is haha. I found this recipe to dull the fishy taste. Thanks again ^_^

Outrageous Caesar Salad
This recipe was good. My husband and I thought it was too salty. Next time I think we will try "experimenting" to find our own likings. Thankyou

Meatball Sandwich
This recipe was yummy. I think next time we will add more parmesan. We had to keep the meatballs in longer than the time on the recipe. We also made 24 meat balls instead of 12 because the size seemed more reasonable. I think we will try it with sausage next time to add more of a kick. Thankyou for the recipe :D
