Butternut Squash Bisque
This is the best butternut squash soup I have ever tasted!! It was a huge hit at my family's Thanksgiving dinner last year and I am making it again this year! I bake the squash first- I prefer to peel it and cut it into chunks before baking, because although peeling it is hard, I get more out of the squash- when I cut it in half and bake it, I find it really hard to get all the squash out of the peel. I sprinkle some olive oil on it before baking. I also use half-and-half instead of heavy cream. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!

Black Forest Cake II
I hate black forest cake but made this for my boyfriend because it's his favorite kind. He loved it, and even I thought it tasted pretty OK. The chocolate cake from this recipe was so good, I have since used it for simple chocolate cupcakes! The homemade whipped cream topping was my favorite part. I coated the cake but left a little bit, added cocoa powder to it, and put a few pretty blobs of chocolate whipped cream on top of the cake with my icing press. Yum!

Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes
These were very fluffy. I used whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose, and they tasted healthier but they were still a yummy treat. (Especially with pure maple syrup.)
