About this Cook
I am just beginning to cook and figure out what I like. The first thing I made was an easy and delicious cheddar bay biscuit recipe I found here.
My favorite things to cook
Not sure yet. There are a few simple things that I can do now that I like already: fried egg sandwiches, vegetable stir fry, and chicken nachos.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family never cooked, but I would like to make some cooking traditions to pass on to my own family.
My cooking triumphs
The only thing I grew up cooking with my mom was chocolate chip cookies, and I would say at this point I can make a mean batch of cookies by memory.
My cooking tragedies
Not sure if this is a tragedy, but I'm deathly afraid of handling raw chicken. I can hardly even look at it.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup
This was so delicious I ate it for a week straight for dinners! I made it exactly as the recipe said, except I also added a little Tabasco (few drops) and some chili powder at the beginning. Topped with plenty of shredded cheese, and ate it with nacho chips. This was so simple, and tasted so good! It also reheats really well in a saucepan on the stove top.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip
Delicious!!! We don't really care for onions, so I strained the onion pieces out of the soup and just used the liquid (after cooking the soup). I also added a piece of melted Provelone cheese to the sandwiches. Mmmmm. So easy, and tastes great! Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

Sunshine Toast
This is such a great idea! The egg cooks in a perfect little circle (which I can never do normally). So convenient.
