About this Cook
married for 2 years and learning how to save my husband from cooking every nite...i love healthy, light foods. but you cant beat a nice slow cooked meal or a casserole every now and then.
My favorite things to cook
i love salads. not for the simplicity, but for the versatility. my father was born in italy, so i would love to learn even more about italian dishes. we use a lot of venison, so id like to find out some different ways of including that in our meals. i also love baking and learning about unique desserts.
My cooking triumphs
pumpkin bread, and i made my first successful carrot cake last year :) im a huge fan of ridiculously festive homemade cupcakes.

we paired the jelly with homemade candy apples and i can't wait to give these out as gifts this year! the recipe was easy and it looks great in th jars. couldnt find any good christmas fabric, so i bought a holiday tablecloth and am tying pieces on with ribbon. great recipe! thanks!

Pumpkin Dip
this was an easy recipe to follow, and quick to make. everyone loved the hollowed out pumpkin. it looked a centerpiece at the party i brought it to. i used green apples and vanilla wafers and got a lot of compliments and questions on what was in it. i would agree with the other reviews and get the cream cheese to room temp. first. and another note, make sure the pumpkin you buy isnt too runny, mine was slightly less thick than i wouldve liked, and i think its because the pumpkin i bought was a little watery. awesome party dip!
