About this Cook
I have been baking and cooking since I was 8. Mom's little helper. Do to life circumstances I had lost the joy of cooking and baking. I have slowly recovered that love and am looking foward to rediscovering the possibilities.
My favorite things to cook
I am currently working my way to vegitarian. So recipes that float that way are great. I am a fan of bread baking and desserts. I love the bake cakes and am going to take a few classes on decorating again. I am not opposed to meat recipes especially chicken, since the rest of my house is not going veggie.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family tradition, FOOD, large quanities and quality. I have a huge family back ground. Gatherings are potluck and filled with meats, salads, drinks, desserts of all times. I also spent much time with my mom, and grandmas learning traditional recipes and baking family faves from breads, casseroles and cookies.
My cooking triumphs
I make the worlds best chocolate chip cookie! Okay endorsed by those in my world. I am very pleased with my chili. Meaty, veggie and heat - it's a great way to get my picky veggie eaters their veggies. My breads are alo now looking like bread loafs and not weird growth riddles lumps. I can make fluffy biscuits.
My cooking tragedies
The cooked caramel disaster. I tried making caramel on the stove for the first time. Destroyed the pot and the house smelt like burnt sugar for days. I had no idea that it could go great to burnt in 2 seconds. Definetely need more research before attemping candies again.

Caramel Brownies II
I Love this recipe!! Our family for years have been making this recipe. We call them Killer Brownies. When I lost the written recipe, I was in a panic. It was so nice to find it. I baked mine for an additional 5 minutes. And waiting for them to cool down so you can cut them is never easy. But these still don't last at any party I take them to.
