I am the mother of two totally adorable kids. My son is almost 8 and my daughter is two. My son is autistic, so feeding him can be a challenge as he has a few texture issues, and my daughter has a peanut allergy. Trying to accomodate both of these is a little tricky sometimes. We live in beautiful Northern Michigan, where the summers are gorgeous, and the winters are COLD and drawn out. Cooking and baking have become a favorite hobby, especially during the long winter months. I LOVE to bake cakes and cookies. I grew up with a mom who is known for her fabulous baking abilities, so we were always decorating cookies, making pies, or baking bread. I finally learned how to make a pie crust that didn't taste like cardboard, or crumble into a pile on the counter! An incredible desintegrating pie crust.
