I am a 33-year-old wife and stay-at-home mother. I'm just me.....simple and plain......but I love life and I love my family.......and I'm working on being the best Mom and Wife I can possibly be! They're worth it! And I thank God above for them all!!!! He truly has turned ashes into beauty!!!! I am not the best cook in the world, but lately I've developed an interest in being better. I have found that I enjoy baking the best. Beyond baking I simply just enjoy trying new and different dishes. My family doesn't really have any cooking traditions. The cooking is pretty much left up to me. Sometimes my husband will prepare a meal, and that is definitely a treat. He is quite a cook. Occassionally one of the kids will help. Sometimes we will tackle a cooking "project" together. Even if the project doesn't turn out exactly right, time spent together is priceless. This past Halloween I attempted my very first homemade pie. Being Halloween, I chose to bake a pumpkin pie for my husband and sons. Suprisingly, it turned out great! I was suprised, and they were happy! In my life I have had so many cooking tragedies, it isn't even funny. I do believe,though, that I am getting better as I go. I guess practice really does make perfect (or at least better).
