About this Cook
I'm a mom to two adorable children, love to read, listen to music. I've recently taken up the sewing machine again after a 17 year absence, and am a novice photographer. Baking is my favorite, and I especially enjoy baking with my 5 year old daughter.
My favorite things to cook
Baking, baking, baking. Cookies, squares, biscotti, cakes, pies, cobblers, crumbles, fudge (oh yeah, I make a WICKED chocolate peppermint fudge, ideal for Christmas time), the list is truly endless as I've got a majah sweet tooth.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The usual, turkey for Thanksgiving and Christmas, stuffing, all the fixings, etc. No other traditions besides those when it comes to cooking.
My cooking triumphs
I baked the cutest train cake for my son's 1st birthday. I had an engine with a marshmallow smoke stack, and train cars following behind stacked with assortments of candy, all of which was placed on a black licorice train track. It was so much fun to construct!
My cooking tragedies
Too numerous to remember, but nothing too tragic. When things go wrong it's because it's burnt. I really think our oven is too hot, I've learned to have the temperature 25 degrees lower than a recipe calls for, no incidents since then.

Banana Cream Pie III
This was such a great pie, and so easy! I used the 'Pie Crust IV' recipe from this site (also easy!), baked, let it cool. I sliced two bananas and put them on the bottom, and used only one package of Vanilla pudding mix. I mixed the pudding as per package instruction (only 2 cups mile) until it was firm then folded in half of the whipped topping. The pie was not runny at all, the filling amount was perfect and my husband couldn't get enough of this pie. Will definitely use again!

Glazed Pork Tenderloin
I admit I was a bit skeptical of the pineapple/horseradish combo, but it was so delicious! I added way more horseradish than the recipe called for just to suit my tastes, and I used canned pineapple that I pureed. And I used dried rosemary. It turned out so moist and tasty, I'll definitely be making this again! Thanks :)

Asian Orange Chicken
Deslish! I stayed true to the recipe, and marinated the chicken for the afternoon. It turned out fab, my husband and I devoured it.
