About this Cook
I'm a 21 year old gay male in Washington State. I enjoy video games, reading, camping, hiking, and delicious food!
My favorite things to cook
Definitely baked goods. In my area we're kind of a mix of all different foods and ethnic tastes, so I get a pretty good range of cooking skills.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Christmas we have to have cinnamon rolls, thanksgiving I like to make a pumpkin pie, and summertime I make the most delicious bacon wrapped hamburgers (from this site.)
My cooking triumphs
I love baking cakes and trying different types and flavors. I also really enjoy anything with a creamy texture.
My cooking tragedies
usually pies, but I have the perfect apple pie baking the oven right now that always turns out great!

Easter Lamb Cake II
Let me start off by saying how much I HATE making an Easter Lamb Cake every year--It falls on me because I have the most baking experience in the house, and I hate doing it because of how delicate the lamb is. This recipe is a godsend, however, because it comes out as a nice dense pound cake like lamb that is perfect for frosting and decorating. It just got out of the oven and was unmolded PERFECTLY. Maybe, one year, doing a Lamb cake will be fun again! Until then, I am very pleased to have this recipe to work with.

Man-Lovin' Potatoes
The family loved this. I made a few changes. We had no bacon, and I forgot to add the ham, so we added a 1/4 cup of crushed ritz crackers. We doubled the potatoes because they were small, and it was a little dry. We added cheddar instead of American cheese, and instead of the parmesan cheese we crumbled some cheezits on top. It was wonderful! It had a very strong garlic flavor which I love. We will definitely make this again!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
Absolutely wonderful. I do make some changes each time i make this: I use Marie Callender's double pie crusts, much easier than making my own. I add a tsp of cinnamon, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 2 dashes nutmeg and cloves, then I throw in the apple slices into the pot and heat it up for about 4 minutes. Then I put it into the pie and bake at 350 for 1 hour and it turns out INCREDIBLE everytime! I have it baking right now and it smells wonderful!
