Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
WOW! Made as recipe stated. Easy and delicious! Only issue is that the cookies are a bit soft...maybe better than being crispy! I guess I put too much (not enough according to the kids) filling because I barely had enough to fill all the cookies. Will make these cookies again and again!

Stuffed Shells I

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2009
The only reason I could not give this recipe 5 stars is that I found it a bit messy. I read many reviews and took the advice to fill the shells with a plastic bag. Maybe it is just me, but I made a mess! BUT, it was delicious! I did add a touch of crushed garlic and Italian herbs to the filling. I will be making this again BUT not something that is an everyday meal! Definately a weekend or company meal.

Best Beef and Broccoli

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
WINNER WINNER Beef and Broccoli Dinner! Oh so simple and quick to make! I did add garlic while browning the meat. I also cut the meat on the bias (and still frozen to make it easier) and it was tender. Can't wait to have for lunch tomorrow! This will be a regular in our house!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
OMGosh! What a SINFUL cake!! I did not use a devil's food mix (could not remember when I was at the grocery store), I used a regular chocolate mix. The cake was a HUGE hit! Once you have one taste, you will not be able to stop yourself! And very easy to make! Great potluck cake! And would probably do well at a bake sale too!

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
I normally hate it when someone rates a recipe BUT has changed it entirely! BUT after reading many reviews I too made a few additions to the recipe. I swapped half the white sugar for brown sugar (still using a total of 1 cup of sugar) and added 1 tsp vanilla and 1/2 tsp baking soda. After saying all that, these were the best peanut butter cookies EVER! Hugh hit in my house! Will make again and again!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
OK! So dear Hubby came home from work and proceded to shove cookie after cookie in his mouth! He stated that 'these were the best cookies I have ever made.' After reading several reviews, I swapped OJ for the water. That is the only change I made. Great cookies! Easy to make! Highly recommend!

Apple Flavored Pot Roast

SO,SO Delicious! Not too sweet, Not too salty, I would say pretty darn perfect. Very moist! No knives needed! I did add a bay leaf and added more garlic(we are garlic freaks in our house!). A hit in the Elliott house!

German Apple Cake I

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
WOW! This is delicious, moist cake. I live in 'Apple Country' so I searched for many recipes to use all my apples. This is my favorite. I follow the recipe exactly. There is no need to change a already perfect recipe! My only 'issue' is that this cake is SO moist that it does get soggy after just a few days. So my suggestion is to either many sure that you have enough people in the house to eat it quickly, share with your friends and neighbors or this is a great cake to take to get-together.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
WOW! What a tasty EASY recipe. My super picky son loves it! I follow the recipe exactly (I do add cornstarch to thicken sauce). My change comes in the end. When I pull out the chicken to shred, I add the cornstarch. The big change is I add a can of Great Northern Beans when I add the shredded chicken back to the sauce. I let it cook for anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour (or until I am ready to serve dinner). My other change is that I serve the chicken and beans over rice. This is a super easy, super delicious meal.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
WOW! What a great cold weather easy recipe. I read many other reviews and used many of their ideas (saute veggies best idea). I also use the larger box of wild rice. I accidentally box the regular rice (not fast cooking). I just cooked the rice (just short of recommended time) and didn't add the 2 cups of water. I also use 2% milk or whole milk and not cream-still delicious. And I did decrease the flour amount (per many, many other reviews). I can't say enough how delicious this soup is and will part of my regular recipe rotation.
