Greetings! I haven't forgotten about AR. In fact, I still visit almost daily for recipes and such :) Unfortunately, I have little time in my life for blogging, but I love to stop by from time to time for a quick update! I've been busy prepping demo goodies for Halloween- and filling in all my… MORE

About this Cook
I am a stay-at-home mom with a 3 yr old daughter (She is a GREAT eater!) and a 3 week old Preemie Boy! I am working with a tight budget, but have expensive taste in food! I rarely follow a recipe... don't like to measure! I love to read cookbooks, magazines and food blogs for new inspiration.
My favorite things to cook
Anything Mexican or Italian.. experimenting with more Asian cooking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
LOVE my mom's Sage Dressing and crab breads- two holiday favorites!
My cooking triumphs
I make a mean Sage Brown Butter sauce for Ravioli, great Pot Stickers and a yummy Kielbasa and Spinach soup!
My cooking tragedies
The year I set the stove on fire the day before Thanksgiving trying to dry out my bread for dressing... had to call the fire dept and spent the next two days cleaning up the residue from the fire extinguisher. On the plus side- my house was insanely clean for the holidays!

Chicken and Gnocchi Soup
Delicious. Fantastic. Fabulous. This recipe is perfect- totally perfect! It was a huge hit to everyone I served it too, and it reheats beautifully! I got 6 generous servings. I did add the cornstarch slurry- and I used Fat Free Half/Half. I added a pinch of thyme and basil too. Thank you for such a yummy treat!!

Shredded Brussels Sprouts
Wowzer- who knew Brussels Sprouts could be so good! I have big plans for playing with this recipe. I did cut oil WAY back. Hubby thinks it would make great egg rolls. I'm also going to try adding a little heavy cream and serving it over pasta with grilled chicken. Delicious!

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower
This was wonderful! I left out the parsley (didn't have any fresh) and added a good pinch of red pepper flakes before roasting. Awesome~
