Chicken Chimichangas with Green Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2009
I doubled this recipe and did exactly what it said but also added some garlic powder and would have minced an onion in the sauce had I had one on hand. It still seemed to be missing something in flavor but overall we all liked it. We also added a little salsa to the top and it was Great. Thanks for sharing.

Homemade Fresh Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
This has a Great crust but not enough spices in the mix, it just tasted bland so that's why I gave it only 4 stars. It needs more of all the spices. It also took me 10 more min. cooking time. Thanks for sharing

Chocolate Walnut Fudge

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
Came out too soft. I looked at some of the other reviews before making this and knew to check the amount of evap. milk but it still was too soft. I'm not sure if I did something wrong but I followed it exactly and was disappointed as it did not firm up. I will keep looking at the reviews to see if others had the same problem. Thanks for sharing

French Fried Potatoes

I really didn't notice a significant difference in frying time because they were soaked first or that they were any crispier than just frying them normally. But we do love fries!!! Thanks for sharing

Applesauce Cake IV

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2009
Made this in a 9x13 cake pan therefore I made a few changes. Pecans and no raisins, but you can even add both. 3/4 c butter, 1 1/2 c sugar, dbl the soda, applesause, flour, cinnamon, cloves, and added a pinch of nutmeg. I will add even more applesauce if I have it next time or decrease flour by 1/2 cup as it was very tasty but I like a little more of a moist cake. Thanks for sharing.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
My family really liked this recipe. I did take into account the other reviews such as doubling the soup and water and add 1/2 pack of onion soup mix, but didn't add the mushrooms as our kids don't like them. Thanks for sharing

Spicy Mexican Style Zucchini Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
Wonderful flavors!! I did add 1 lb of ground beef cooked and drained. And one more cup of beans. Plus we don't like real hot so I only added 1/2 tsp. of cayenne pepper and it was still enough spice, but we could handle it. Thanks for sharing. I had to use some of our zucchini left from our garden.

Peanut Butter Brownies I

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
I thought this was okay. I would add choc. chips the next time. I did do what some others suggested and added baking cocoa but still not enough of a brownie for me. I guess I'm use to more of a choc taste and so that's why I'm not rating it low because it turned out good but not tasty or sweet enough for me. Thanks for sharing.

This was AWESOME!!! I did not change a thing except for 5 more minutes. When you mix it, it's dry but don't be deceived, the zucchini does moisten it. This was Excellent!!! Thank You!

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

The only thing I changed was to add 1 1/2 cups fresh raspberries and the 10 or so blueberries that I had on hand in the garden. But with the moisture from the raspberries I needed to bake 10 min. longer. Great!! thanks for sharing.

I didn't have almond extract so I used brandy extract and it was great. Pitted fresh bing cherries (won't work that hard again). Great Pie!!! Also, this is one of the easiest crusts I'v ever made but I'd recommend a little more salt, that's it, thanks for sharing.

Oven Brown Rice

Reviewed: May 14, 2009
Yum!! The only thing I could add is to stir around the edges halfway through because when mine was done and I stirred it and poured in bowl there were a lot of crunchy ones that got mixed in. I added 1 Tbsp. of minced fresh garlic too. But I will definately be making this for years to come. Thanks for sharing.
